Three Relationships

We believe in the Great Commission given by Jesus in Matthew 28:16-20. We are called to make disciples and the most effective way to do that is through relationships.

Jesus modeled the disciple-making process through His relationships with God, the Church, and the World. Those relationships then interact and we come up with the diagram you see here.

In order to live more like Jesus lived we need to work toward enhancing these relationships. We do this through a series of rhythms in each relationship. The word rhythm is intentional in that these are practices we need to continually work on to keep focused on the goal of becoming more like Jesus. This is not a checklist of items but rather habit forming practices that will help enhance your relationships with God, the Church & the World.

How this discipleship pathway works

First we want you to discern with God that you are ready to be a follower of Him and that you want to live as He has called us to live.

If you are familiar with the three relationships already then go ahead and identify which rhythm you want to work on. If you are not sure where to begin. Click this button to take an assessment to help you discern. Note that this assessment only comes to you, not even our Pastor gets to see it.

A place where you might not have scored as high would be a great place to start. Our friends at Faith Church in Bellefonte have put this booklet together to help you with your work on the rhythms. We also offer classes on the rhythms throughout the year.

Ask yourself, how might your involvement in the life of the church naturally help the rhythms progress? Spot check yourself by taking the assessment again several months down the road to see how you've grown.
