Ministries

Children's Ministry
Covenant United Methodist Church values our children and young people, believing that the entire church community should provide them with support and guidance. Children take part in a "Children's Chat" during the Sunday morning church service and then go to their own children's service (for children ages 3 - 4th grade). We also have several events for our children throughout the year.

Prayer Ministry
Covenant United Methodist Church believes in the power of prayer and has an active prayer ministry. Each Monday, members of the church share in a Prayer Ministry beginning at 6:30 pm. If you need to activate a prayer chain and can not attend that meeting or need immediate prayers, please contact Sherry Wilson.

Music Ministry
Covenant United Methodist Church has an active music ministry, including an adult choir and children's choir. Contact Melissa Becker if you are interested in joining the adult choir. The children's choir performs under the direction of Carol Yorks; please see her if your child would like to become involved in our children's performances.

United Methodist Women Ministry
The United Methodist Women has an active chapter at Covenant United Methodist. The mission of the United Methodist Women is to foster spiritual growth, develop leaders, and advocate for justice. The United Methodist Women at Covenant meet regularly to discuss missions, hold missions projects, and fellowship.

 Off Your Rockers Ministry
The Off Your Rockers Ministry is primarily for our members who are 50 years and older. They meet the last Tuesday of the month for dinner. They also plan trips throughout the year.

Covenant Helping Hands HUB
We are a satellite for Mission Central. We make and store UMCOR kits for use locally, nationally and around the world.

Crusaders Class
The Crusaders Class is a ministry for women in the church. They meet the 2nd Tuesday of every month at Restless Oaks Restaurant in McElhattan for lunch and devotions.

Shoe Bank
Covenant United Methodist Church believes in reaching out to the community, fulfilling its mission to reach in, reach out, and reach up. One of our outreach ministries is the Shoe Bank, which is open the third Saturday from August until June from 11 am until 2 pm. Children in need can come receive one free pair of shoes.

Protestant Campus Ministry
Covenant United Methodist Church is one of several sponsoring churches for the Lock Haven University Protestant Campus Ministry (PCM). The PCM works on the Lock Haven University campus to provide spiritual growth and development for all students. We are excited to serve as one of their co-sponsoring churches and provide a variety of services to the college students, including ministry, fellowship, and support.
